Jackets are here!!

Hey guys.

So, this week was interesting. The jackets arrived but were stuck in customs for the longest time. After dealing with customs for almost the whole week, I finally have received the jackets and they are in my possession.

As per the last update, I will get in touch with local individuals for pick-up.For our out of town backers, your jackets will be shipped early next week.

The gloves are still on route and we expect to arrive very soon. Due to dealing with this whole situation, I couldn't contact all the backers that ordered both gloves and jacket(s) regarding shipping the jackets separately from the gloves. I will finish contacting you guys this weekend.

We are sorting and inspecting the jackets now, They look amazing and we are really happy with how they turned out! I can't wait to hear everyone's feedback!

Jackets & Gloves Shipping Update

Hey guys!

I hope everyone is doing well!

The jackets have finally arrived! They will be going through Canada Customs before being cleared. Once that happens, we hope to get the shipment delivered and start shipping them out at the end of this week and beginning of next week.

I have also received word from the Gloves manufacture that the gloves should be shipping out by the end of this week. I will start to contact individuals in the next day or two who have ordered jackets and gloves to ask if they would like to wait for the gloves or have us ship the gloves and jackets separately.

Once we ship out the jackets and/or gloves, we will update backerkit or send you an email with your tracking number (if applicable) so backers can check on their shipment.

Please note that each country is different so duties may apply.

Local Pick up

For those individuals who have requested local pick up, I will be contacting you  next week with details as to to how to pick up your jackets and/or gloves. 

Jacket Care

As mentioned in a previous update, there was an unexpected delay in sourcing the proper leather for the jackets. We are using carefully selected high quality sheep skin leather for these jackets. Due to this, please note that leather is a luxury material and should be treated and handled with care. We recommend that individuals do not expose the jacket to direct rain or snow without properly conditioning the jacket first. 

Any product made especially for leather and containing beeswax and/or mink oil should do the trick. In order to make sure it becomes waterproof and that these products could potentially darken the colour of your jacket; we recommend to test it out first on a discrete section of the jacket before applying it to the whole jacket. 

If properly taken care of, these jackets should last a very long time and will look better the more they age.

Jackets Have Been Shipped

Hey guys!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year!

I received confirmation from our leather jacket manufacturer that the jackets have been shipped and are on the way!

The gloves are still in production, however, we are keeping close contact with our gloves manufacturer and are optimistic they will also be ready soon.

Hey guys!

I first wanted to say that I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and (for some of our international backers) had a very happy new year!!

I know its been a while since the last update. Rest assured that we have been on top of trying to get these jackets and gloves out asap. We ran into a couple of delays which hindered us from getting the jackets in time for Christmas. Mostly because of:

1) Getting the proper leather ready and prepared for jacket production. We had instructed our manufacturer to source the best quality sheep skin leather from the tannery. Due to the holiday season and just general process of getting that specific leather and preparing it for jacket production; this step took longer than we expected. 

2) We deal with two different manufactures for the jackets and the gloves. Because of that, we wanted to make completely sure that the gloves had the proper snap buttons so they could attach to the jackets. We had to order in a few gloves to test out the snap buttons before we were comfortable enough to ensure that the gloves would snap onto the jackets properly and with ease.

The good news is that the jackets are done!!! They should be shipping to us this coming week and then subsequently we will inspect them one more time ourselves and then get them packed up and sent to you guys. We are hoping the gloves come around this time as well but they might be a bit delayed. Depending on how delayed they might be; for the backers who ordered a jacket(s) and gloves, we can ship the jackets out first and then the gloves separately as we get them in if the backer does not want to wait. We will be contacting those backers individually. We will not charge anything extra for shipping if this is the case. 

We appreciate you guys being patient and are really excited for you guys to finally get the jackets and gloves.

We are also planning on starting a second Kickstarter soon after everything settles down with this one and we receive all of your feedback so stay tuned!

Jackets & Gloves Production Started!

Hey guys!

I just wanted to provide you guys with a quick update.

We are pleased to report that we have received all the surveys and started production for both the jackets and gloves last week! 

The expected production time should be 2-3 weeks. We are hoping that we can get these out to you guys before Christmas. I will keep you guys updated if anything changes or when more progress has been made.
